Buy Nothing

Privacy Policy

We sell nothing, so we also collect almost nothing. Here is the almost.

What we collect

When you buy nothing we store: the display name you type at checkout, your dedication line if you write one, your email address, your country, the tier you purchased, the amount paid, and a serial number, plus whether you consented to public display. Payment details (card numbers) never touch our servers: they are handled entirely by Stripe.

Why we collect it

To generate your certificate, email it to you, keep the fiscal records the law requires, and (only if you ticked the optional box) show your display name and dedication on the Wall of Nothing or the Hall of Absolute Nothing. Your email is never shown publicly, ever. It is used only to deliver your certificate and to aggregate repeat purchases for the Hall ranking.

Public display is opt-in, and revocable

The default is private. Your name appears publicly only if you checked the public display box at checkout, and after it passes a basic moderation check. Your confirmation email contains a one-click removal link that takes effect immediately; you can also ask via the contact page. Owning nothing anonymously is a valid lifestyle.

Data processors

Stripe (payment processing: card details, billing country, email; we never see card numbers). Supabase (database hosting: display name, dedication, email, tier, amount, country, serial and document numbers). Resend (email delivery: your email address and the certificate). Vercel (website hosting: standard server logs). Plausible (analytics: aggregated, cookieless page statistics with no personal data and no cross-site tracking, which is why there is no cookie banner). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time via the contact page. Deleting your data does not delete your nothing. Nothing is forever.
