The artist

Everything is for sale, so I opened a shop that sells the one thing that is not. Five tiers of nothing, priced like software, delivered like a luxury good: a certificate, a serial number, a place on a wall, a leaderboard for the people who own the most of it.

The joke only works if the shop is real. So it was real: a working checkout, five working prices, a certificate with your name printed next to nothing. The only thing that never existed was the product. Then the paperwork required to sell nothing legally turned out to cost more per year than nothing could ever earn, which is the funniest sentence in this entire project and also the true one.

So the shop is closed and the piece is open. Nothing is free, which was always the correct price. Take as much of it as you like.

If this made you laugh

Nothing is free and stays free. If the joke was worth something to you, you can leave a tip on Ko-fi. It buys no extra nothing and no certificate. If you make it public there, your name and your message go on the Wall of Nothing.

The certificate is free either way. Donating privately keeps you off the Wall.
